Rates and Insurance Information for Counseling in Colorado with new Vision Counseling
RATES & IN-NETWORK BENEFITS
Our private pay rate is $135 per session for individuals and $150 a session for couples/family. We are flexible to accommodating people who need income-based, reduced rate options. A good faith estimate with the estimated total cost of services is available for self-pay clients upon request.
Our practice accepts Friday health plans, Aetna, United, Blue Cross/Anthem, Kaiser, Cigna, Humana, and ComPsych EAP. Due the large volume of referrals we get from ComPsych EAP, we are typically on a waitlist for that program. Each therapist has different insurances they accept. If you have specific questions about your copay and mental health coverage benefits, the best way to get accurate information is to reach out to your insurance company directly by calling the member services phone number on the back of your insurance ID card.
Please note as of January 15, 2022 we no longer accept insurance for couple's therapy. Insurance requires that the primary person in the couple be diagnosed with a DSM disorder and that the couple's treatment focuses on the treatment of that disorder. The vast majority of couple's therapy sessions tend to focus on relational issues such as conflict resolution, communication, boundaries, etc., and therefore we would be in breach of our insurance contract to accept insurance in such circumstances.
OUT OF NETWORK BENEFITS
If you are covered under an insurance company that we are not credentialed with, we can provide a monthly bill to submit to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. This is something you will have to reach out to your insurance company directly about to see if your specific plan allows for out of network benefits. Sometimes it is also more affordable to self-pay rather than bill your insurance, which is another option we can discuss.
